The handicap is calculated by taking each player's average score of the top 4 scores of their last 10 scores subtracted by 37 and rounded to the nearest whole number. It is capped at 16.
Old Version: The handicap is calculated by taking each player's average score (excluding one instance of their highest score) subtracted by 37 and rounded to the nearest whole number.
The team with the best score minus their handicap for that week gets 10 points for each player and the second place team gets 5 points each.
The team with the best score minus their handicap in a foursome gets 2.5 points for each player unless they are first or second place for the week.
If there are an odd number of teams, the team without an opposing team will not be eligible for the 2.5 points.
If a foursome ties and neither comes in first or second for the league that week all players in the foursome get 2.5 points.
If there is a tie for first place then the first and second points are divided up equally with a minimum of 5 points. (7.5 points for 2 teams and 5 points for 3+ teams).
If there is a tie for second place then the each team is awarded 3.5 points regardless of the number of teams.
The Joe Kraut Rule: Anyone with a hole-in-one automatically gets an additional 10 points for the day.
We cap a score for a hole at 5 over par. So max 8 on a par 3 and max 10 on a par 5.
